What this site is
WallyTurns80.com is a private celebration site created by Wally's family to help friends and family RSVP to his 80th birthday party, leave heartfelt messages, share photos and videos, and browse a “Wall of Love” of submitted memories. Nothing is sold, nothing is monetised, and no advertising is involved.
What we collect and why
Your name
Used to personalise your RSVP confirmation and to display your message or photo credit on the Wall of Love.
Your email address
Used only to send your RSVP confirmation or a follow-up if you leave a message. We will never sell, rent, or share it with anyone outside the family organising team.
Messages
Written messages you submit may appear publicly on the Wall of Love. You choose whether your submission is public or private when you send it.
Photos & videos
Media you upload is stored securely and may be shown on the Wall of Love or used as part of the birthday celebration. You choose visibility when you upload.
Who can see your submission
The Wall of Love is a public page — anyone with the link can read it. If you mark your submission as private, it will only be seen by the family organising team and will not appear publicly.
Your email address is never shown publicly. It is visible only to the small group of family members who have admin access to help organise the party.
Children under 16
We ask that children under 16 submit messages, photos, or videos only with the help of a parent or trusted adult. If you are a parent and would like us to remove a submission made by your child, please get in touch using the contact details below.
How long we keep your data
We plan to keep the site and its content live through the celebration and for a short period afterward so that family and friends can revisit the memories. Once we close the site, all personal data — names, emails, messages, photos, and videos — will be permanently deleted.
Third-party services
The site is hosted on Vercel and uses Supabase for data storage. Both are industry-standard platforms with their own security practices. We do not use any advertising trackers or analytics that profile you personally.
Your rights
You can ask us to view, correct, or delete any personal information you have submitted at any time. Just reach out and we will take care of it promptly.
